Often engaging with scientific and mathematical data as a starting point, Al Munro uses various and unlikely materials to reinterpret these codes, formulas and systems into visually interesting artworks, in both sculptural and two-dimensional mediums. 2017 saw Munro's artworks featured in the exhibitions 'Holding' at Newcastle Art Gallery (2016-2017), 'Paper Work' at the Bann Tuck Art Center in Chiang Mai, 'Pareidolia: cloud gazing' at the Megalo Print Studio and Gallery, and the Blacktown City Art Prize.
