Northbound 2017

This image was taken from my car window, while travelling alongside a moving train. (I was the passenger of course). This work explores the conventional routines of ordinary people travelling through the city-scape. My interest lies in the transient spaces or non-places, with their characteristics being identified as temporary and fleeting and not representative of a culture or place. In this space we shed our regional identity
and become commuter connected by the mundane routine of travelling.
