LOOK

Waratah Lahy studies people while they're absorbed in the art of looking: taking a photo, studying a painting or cutting a cake, for example. She then paints then with all the effects of light and shade on their skin, hair and clothes but without any background and on transparent perspex so the focus is almost entirely on body language.
Brenda May Gallery, 2 Dank Street, Waterloo, 93181122. Tue-Fri, 11am-6pm; Sat, 10am-6pm; Sun 11am-4pm. Until May 9.
